Until now, it was difficult or impossible to fit spiral hoses accurately and cleanly onto existing connections. Temporary solutions with hose clamps or adhesive tapes rarely met the requirements for tensile strength and density. Resulting transition edges led to disruptions in the material flow or to pressure reductions.
Now Masterflex offers an intelligent solution to the problem. With the aid of the new PU threaded connector, spiral hoses can be connected to a wide range of different standard couplings and piping elements.
The Masterflex threaded connector made of polyurethane is screwed onto the spiral hose or permanently mounted. On the opposite side there is a connection thread according to DIN ISO 228, which means that all coupling fittings or piping elements with a corresponding counter-thread can be screwed on. In this way, quick-action couplings such as Storz, TW, Perrot, Kamlok, Guillemin and others, cocks, gate valves, valves or pipe elements such as Y-pieces, bends, reducers and branches can be easily integrated into the hose line.
Masterflex AG is thus responding to the frequent customer demand for complete solutions.
Three years ago, the company already presented the first components of the screw-on, sealed connection system for spiral hoses.
The COMBIFLEX CONNECTION SYSTEM offers the advantage that all parts can be screwed on. Since the thread exactly matches the outer wall of the hose, the system provides a largely liquid-tight and tension-resistant connection. For a completely dust- and liquid-tight connection, these elements can also be cast on tightly ex works.
The connecting parts, which are made of highly - abrasion-resistant polyurethane, provide an optimum hose connection. Ideally, this results in a completely smooth transition between the hose and the connecting part - without any edge or cross-sectional narrowing. The system includes: Hose sockets in various designs, loose and fixed flanges as well as tapered flanges according to DIN 3016 and now the new PU threaded connector. The PU threaded fittings are available for hose types MASTER-PUR L, H, SH and HX in DN 50, 65, 75 and 100.
