Masterflex develops flame-retardant hose series

Masterflex AG starts the year 2012 with the development of another hose type in the field of PU suction and transport hoses, which are particularly suitable for use on rail vehicles due to the approval according to DIN 5510-2 guideline.

The new Master-PUR L/H MHR se hoses are special polyurethane hoses used for ventilation and exhaust purposes in rail vehicles, as drainage hoses for rainwater and condensates from air-conditioning systems, and as suction and conveying hoses for transporting abrasive solids on rail vehicles. In addition to their microbe and hydrolysis resistance, these hose types are particularly characterized by their flame retardancy in accordance with DIN 5510-2, which makes them highly versatile.

All Master-PUR MHR se hose types were tested according to DIN 54837:2007 standard with classification DIN 5510-2:2009 and achieved flammability class S-4, smoke development class SR-2 as well as dripability class ST-2. They also meet all requirements of ISO 5659-2:2007 standard with classification DIN 5510-2:2009, smoke toxicity test.

These new flame-retardant hose types are available as light as well as heavy hose variants for different applications, thus rounding off Masterflex AG's wide range of products in this segment as well. Master-PUR MHR se hoses are further products that meet the highest quality requirements due to their good abrasion resistance, low-temperature flexibility, chemical resistance and many other properties.
