This hose type is a certified PU suction and transport hose with smooth inner and outer wall, for solid and liquid media, made of pure polyether polyurethane, antistatic and food safe according to FDA for the food, chemical and pharmaceutical industry.
The new Polderflex PUR Food A hose combines the positive mechanical properties of the existing Polderflex PUR series and the excellent food-safe material properties of the Master PUR Food A. In combination with each other, a hose type has been created that adds further value for Masterflex customers and expands the product selection in the area of food-safe hoses.
The Polderflex PUR Food A is equipped with a stainless steel wire spiral and has a smooth inner and outer wall. This means that it offers hardly any surface for deposits and is easy to clean. Its surface properties result in optimum flow characteristics, which have a positive effect on the service life of the hose, even with the highest demands on abrasion resistance. Due to its nature, even small bending radii are possible, which makes this hose flexible in use.
All materials used comply with national and international food regulations and are ideally suited for use in the food industry on the basis of the German Consumer Goods Ordinance and Directive 2002/72/EC and its latest amending directives. Since Masterflex uses only raw materials and additives that are included in the FDA's lists of approved substances, the processed plastics also comply with US regulations.
The microbe- and hydrolysis-resistant Polderflex PUR Food A hose can also be used safely for combustible dusts/bulk materials to dissipate electrostatic charges thanks to the use of a special food-grade raw material formulation in combination with a non-migrating permanent antistatic agent in accordance with TRBS 2153 (Zone 20).
As a food-grade hose, it is free of plasticizers and halogens as well as being neutral in taste and odor and, like all food hoses from Masterflex AG, is manufactured in strict compliance with Regulation 2023/2006 GMP (good manufacturing practice). Masterflex thus offers its customers the best hygienic standards, which are guaranteed by intensive internal control mechanisms.
With Polderflex PUR Food A, Masterflex has succeeded in developing a hose type that, with its versatile properties, is a further building block in the hose manufacturer's extensive product range.
