Hoses are needed in all parts of process plants. In many areas this is unproblematic, but where aggressive media, explosive gases and vapors, and hot air are conveyed, the hoses must meet more extensive requirements, for example in chemical plants, in the paint, wood and paper industries, or in the pharmaceutical industry.
Masterflex AG manufactures suction hoses with the highest chemical resistance, some of which are also electrically conductive (<106 Ohm) or extremely temperature-resistant (up to +1,100°C). Thanks to a special manufacturing process, the hoses are neither welded, glued, sewn nor vulcanized. An external clamping profile allows a wide variety of materials to be combined to form hoses that are largely leak-proof and resistant to tensile forces. For example, materials are used such as: Hypalon®-, Kapton®-, Neoprene-, Polyurethane-, Teflon®-, or Viton®-coated films and fabrics.
Hose diameters of 38-900 mm are possible. In addition, the clamping process allows very small bending radii, excellent flexibility and, in some cases, high compressibility of up to 1:6. The clip spiral protects the hose against external abrasion. On request, a chemical-resistant stainless steel can also be used here.
You can find the right hose for almost any application, if you pay attention to the following parameters: Pressure/vacuum values, temperature resistance, pumped medium or chemical resistance of the hose material and required diameter (DN). There is even a suitable solution for borderline areas with regard to chemical and temperature resistance.
