World novelty: Master-PUR Inline - the Hercules among hoses

Enthusiasm PUR: Masterflex presents the unique, new "Master-PUR Inline" hoses for the first time at Fakuma 2006 in Friedrichshafen (Hall A6, Booth No. 6513).

Gelsenkirchen, August 28, 2006

Enthusiasm PUR: Masterflex AG, specialist for customized problem solutions, has set another milestone in the development of plastic hoses. An absolute world first will be presented for the first time at Fakuma 2006 in Friedrichshafen (Hall A6, Booth No. 6513): The new "Master-PUR Inline" hose types from the listed Gelsenkirchen-based hose experts are currently the most abrasion-resistant PU hoses in the world, far outshining all elastomer hoses on the market to date with their unique abrasion behavior.

Master-PUR inline hoses represent an absolute novelty in the hose sector. Thanks to a special, patented manufacturing process, Masterflex AG has achieved a revolutionary quantum leap in hose technology: the company is the first hose manufacturer to be able to produce a unique hose with an inline lining that cannot be surpassed in terms of abrasion resistance.

Using a novel patented manufacturing process, hoses are produced without internal welds and corrugated valleys. On the one hand, the hose qualities are absolutely smooth on the inside, and on the other hand, enormous wall thicknesses can be achieved. In addition to the standard quality in 60° Shore A with an inner wall of 4 mm, the hoses, which are variably and individually tailored to the respective customer requirements, are manufactured by a unique production process with linings of up to 90° Shore A and with wall thicknesses of up to 10 mm.

The service life of Master-PUR inline hoses exceeds the service life of all elastomer hoses on the market many times over. They are particularly suitable for high throughputs of extremely abrasive solids such as sand, gravel, cement, cullet, grain and granules. Typical applications are in problematic areas such as glassworks, mineral processing plants, steel mills, quarries, shipyards, harbor facilities, cement works, as well as for waste disposal operations and industrial cleaning.

The pressure resistance of these hose types is outstanding. They have a far better pressure resistance than comparable hoses from other manufacturers can achieve.

In addition to the much higher abrasion resistance compared to the plastic hoses used on the market, Master-PUR inline hoses offer many other sensational advantages. Despite enormous wall thicknesses, Master-PUR Inline hoses are much more flexible and also lighter than a heavy rubber hose.

The combination of excellent abrasion resistance in conjunction with outstanding pressure resistance, the flexibility still achieved and the absolutely smooth, seamless inner wall of Master-PUR Inline hoses is unique. The absolute smoothness enables the user to clean the hose easily and without leaving residues and ensures optimum flow properties of the material conveyed. The incorporated support spiral realizes a high kink resistance of the hose.

The special Master-PUR Inline hose from Masterflex leaves hardly anything to be desired when the highest demands are made on quality, abrasion resistance, flexibility and load-bearing capacity. The hoses can be manufactured in lengths up to 10 m and in diameters from DN 100 to DN 300 as standard. Other linings, lengths and DN are available on request. Numerous connection elements, such as PU loose and fixed flanges and PU tapered flanges from the Masterflex Combiflex hose connection series, enable the user to assemble the hose line quickly and easily.

Master-PUR inline hoses show excellent advantages especially when the user needs a transport hose in the temperature range of -40°C and up to +90°C, which is also free of plasticizers and halogens, gas- and liquid-tight, and which is not affected by OIL, gasoline, chemicals, UV rays or ozone. Even permanently higher temperatures (media temperature up to +120°C) cannot destroy the hose.

In the course of developing this unique manufacturing process, Masterflex AG has also succeeded in achieving maximum variability in the materials used. For almost every application, Masterflex AG offers the appropriate hose quality on request (e.g. with corresponding approvals for the food industry, different Shore hardnesses, microbe- and hydrolysis-resistant versions as well as flame-retardant inline linings and customer-specific special solutions.
